Operation Diabetes has the collaborative goal to advance and help inform pharmacist and student pharmacist alike. Identifying despaired and diseased members of the community, the operation strives to increase knowledge and awareness of diabetes. By performing blood glucose screenings and educating the public on risk and the factors that lead to increased chances. The effective goal is to increase the quality of life of all individuals counseled by and affected by diabetes and those in position to affect change. By working with fellow organizations and like-minded individuals, we will exhibit that the profession of pharmacy is a valuable resource in preventing morbidity and mortality rates associated with diabetes. By showcasing these strategies, operation diabetes will make a change in the community that will ultimately change the course of the health of diabetes patients nationwide.
